going through the motions.

i didn't mean to take a hiatus from the ole blog. but there hasn't been much blog worthy stuff going on. just ordinary days.

throwing crap away. getting the junk out of our hizzouse. and giving stuff away. need anything? i might have one in the garage, just waiting for a new home. this is just bag 1 & 2. there have been and will be many more. 40,000 bags in 40 days.

helping plan weddings and bridal showers. buying bridesmaids dresses. romantical.

baking. amish friendship bread, the pyramid scheme of bread.

still reading those dumb twilight books.

walking the babe to sleep multiple times a day. and enjoying the snuggles.

he's been trying new foods. and gaining 12 ounces. back on the charts, whoo hoo! i like seeing him try new stuff. but i don't appreciate the messiness. he wears as much as he eats. and boyfriend eats a lot.

he grunts and/or screams until you get the next bite in his mouth. he likes sweet potatoes best. bananas and squash tie for second. pears make him pucker. and he doesn't seem to have an opinion on avocados.

he rolled from back to belly for the first time. that means he can roll both ways. and he does. over are the days of a stationary babe. last night he insisted on sleeping tummy down for the first stretch of night. i was a nervous wreck. then he insisted on not sleeping at all for the rest of the night, so in comparison i think i prefer tummy down.

we've been playing outside. and by playing i mean i pulled weeds and isaac exersaucered. i think a swing set is in order soon.

i'm dreaming of more warm days and getting started in the garden.

cooking. cleaning. laundry. just ordinary days. that i'll never get back.

so i'm working on worshiping through my chores. serving my family. and cherishing my babe, even at 3 o'clock in the morning.

life is good. so so good.

  1. I am glad to see that you are doing very good. I love the photos of him and he does seem to be gaining some weight.

  2. I just read that you can put down newspaper instead of plastic in your landscape area. It's supposed to stop weeds from popping up. I think we're going to try it before we put down new mulch.
